What is an excess?
An excess is the amount you will have to contribute in the event of a claim. It's a normal part of most insurance policies and with Travel Insurance Saver, the excess is between £50 and £150 for most types of claim. You can find the precise excess for each type of claim in your policy documents. Alternatively for a small additional premium you can remove the excess from your cover - meaning you will make no financial contribution in the event of a claim. Please note that the excess waiver does not apply to gadget cover, where the £50 excess will remain.
